No. You can select a PDF, edit it and download the result without registering or logging in.
Yes. Clicking the upload panel or its button opens your device’s file picker. On desktop this is File Explorer or Finder; on phones and tablets it uses the device file picker.
Yes on devices and browsers that support drag and drop. Drop one PDF onto the upload area and the editor will open it after validation.
The editor accepts PDF documents only. The file picker is filtered for PDF files and the page also checks the file extension, type and PDF header before opening it.
Yes. The I Love PDF page uses a dedicated phone layout, and the editor keeps the same continuous-page workspace with a horizontally scrollable toolbar. Page thumbnails and page actions are available from Manage Pages.
No. The editor runs in a modern web browser. An internet connection is currently needed to load its open-source PDF libraries when the site is opened.
You can highlight areas repeatedly, draw, add lines and shapes, insert images, create signatures, add stamps, and manage page order, rotation and deletion from the Manage Pages dialog. The document itself stays continuously scrollable in page order.
The PDF Editor does not alter original wording. Convert the PDF to Word, edit the text in Word, then convert the finished document back to PDF. Open PDF to Word.
You can draw, highlight, add images and signatures over scanned pages. To change wording, use OCR or convert the PDF to Word first; direct editing of original words is not part of this editor.
Some protected documents may prompt for a password through the PDF renderer. The tool does not remove or guess unknown passwords.
No. Clicking the download button creates a new edited PDF. Your original file remains unchanged on your device.
The upload page currently accepts PDFs up to 100 MB. The practical limit also depends on available memory in the browser and the number and complexity of pages.
The browser must read the file, render page previews and rebuild the PDF when you download it. More pages, large images and complex drawings require additional memory and processing time.
The editor removes the active temporary session after a successful download or when you explicitly start a new document. Browser storage can also be cleared through your browser settings.
